What is a List?

A list is a collection of contacts you want to monitor for buying signals. When you add contacts to a list and activate monitoring, Signado watches their companies for signals like funding rounds, job postings, and executive changes.

How lists connect to signals

Here's the flow:

  1. Contacts — People you want to reach (stored in lists)
  2. Companies — Organizations where your contacts work (extracted automatically)
  3. Signals — Buying indicators detected at those companies

Signado monitors at the company level. If three contacts work at the same company, you'll see that company's signals once—not three times.

Two ways to monitor

Lists can be assigned to one of two monitoring slots:

  • Priority — Checked daily. Use for your hottest prospects where timing matters most.
  • Watchlist — Checked weekly. Use for accounts you're nurturing over time.

You can have one list in each slot. Your plan determines how many companies each slot can hold.

Creating lists

Signado offers four ways to build a list:

  • Upload CSV — Import contacts from a spreadsheet or CRM export
  • Scrape LinkedIn — Extract people who engaged with a LinkedIn post
  • Search Google Maps — Find businesses by location and type
  • Add manually — Enter individual contacts directly

Each method has its use case. CSV is fastest for existing contacts. Scrapers help you discover new prospects.
