How many comments does a B2B post get?
Two thirds of LinkedIn posts in B2B niches (66.2%) had 5 or fewer comments, and only 4.3% had 50 or more: 903 posts across 34 accounts, Aug 1 to Sep 28, 2026.
Most B2B conversations on LinkedIn are small. When a buyer comments, they are often one of a handful of voices, not one of hundreds, which makes them easy to notice and easy to answer.
How long are LinkedIn comments?
The median LinkedIn comment in B2B niches was 12 words, and one in three (33.8%) was 5 words or fewer: 2,437 comments across 34 accounts, Aug 1 to Sep 28, 2026.
A third of comments say little more than agreement. The longer ones are where people name a problem, ask a question or describe what they tried, and that is the part worth reading before you write to someone.
How many people in B2B conversations are job hunting?
9.6% of people posting or commenting in B2B niches were flagged Open to Work, about one in ten: 277 of 2,894 people across 35 accounts, Aug 1 to Sep 28, 2026.
One in ten people you might write to is looking for work, not buying. Check the flag before you write, or they cost you messages.
How often do B2B creators post?
77% of the B2B creators we tracked published fewer than 3 new posts a week: 17 of 22 creators, Aug 1 to Sep 28, 2026.
As an illustration, the 6 most-checked creators published a median of 1.7 new posts a week.
So checking a creator every day finds nothing new most days: 71.4% of daily checks found no new post (334 of 468 checks across 15 accounts).
If a creator posts on set days, check on those days, not every day. In Signado you can pick the days a source runs.
How many leads can you find on LinkedIn for a B2B market?
Using Signado, a new B2B account finds a median of 29 leads on LinkedIn in its first 7 days, people posting or commenting about its market, with the middle half between 14 and 76: 26 accounts that started between Aug 1 and Sep 21, 2026.
That is about four new leads a day in one market, from a handful of topics, creators and competitors. The conversations are already happening; the work is being there when they do.
What reply rate does LinkedIn outreach get?
With our own LinkedIn account over two months, messages to people who had recently posted or commented about a problem we solve got a 52.3% reply rate (78 of 149), against 18.0% (25 of 139) for classic list-based targeting: 2.9× the replies across 1,184 connection requests.
The test stayed under 30 connection requests a day. For scale, Expandi's 2026 benchmark measured a 10.4% reply rate across 6.7 million LinkedIn messages sent through its platform, follow-ups included.
| Metric | Classic targeting | Signado methodPeople who had posted or commented about a problem we solve |
|---|---|---|
| Connection requests | 700 | 484 |
| Accepted | 203 (29.0%) | 221 (45.7%) |
| Messages | 139 | 149 |
| Replies | 25 (18.0%) | 78 (52.3%) |
1,184 requests total. 25 of 78 replies became product demos, about one in three. Reply-rate lift 2.9×.

Method and updates
- Source: Signado internal benchmarks, aggregated and anonymous. No account, person or post is identified, and our own and test accounts are left out.
- Period: Aug 1 to Sep 28, 2026.
- People: every post author and commenter in the dataset, not only the warm leads.
- Samples are small and come from a few dozen accounts. Read each number as what happened in the B2B niches tracked in Signado, not a LinkedIn-wide rate.
- Reviewed quarterly.
