Activate List for Monitoring
Activating a list tells Signado to start monitoring its companies for buying signals. Until you activate, the list is just stored contacts—no signal detection happens.
Two monitoring slots
Signado offers two monitoring modes, each with its own slot:
Priority
- Checked daily
- Fewer company slots
- For hot prospects where timing matters
- Best for accounts ready for outreach
Watchlist
- Checked weekly
- More company slots
- For accounts you're nurturing
- Best for longer-term opportunities
You can have one list in each slot. Your plan determines how many companies fit in each.
How to activate
- Go to Lists in the sidebar.
- Click on your list to open it.
- Find the monitoring badge (shows "Paused" or current status).
- Click the badge to open the dropdown.
- Select Set as Priority or Set as Watchlist.
- Review the confirmation and confirm.
The first signal check starts immediately. After that, checks run daily (Priority) or weekly (Watchlist).
Why activations are limited
When you activate a list, Signado runs deep scrapes on each company:
- Recent job postings (hiring signals)
- LinkedIn company activity
- Funding history
- News and announcements
This initial scan is resource-intensive. To keep the service sustainable, activations are limited per billing cycle. Paid plans reset each cycle; free tier has a lifetime limit.
Check Settings → Billing to see your activation limits, company slot sizes, and current usage.
Switching lists
To monitor a different list, you can deactivate the current one and activate another. This uses one activation credit. Plan your list strategy to avoid unnecessary switches.
If you hit your activation limit, wait for the next billing cycle or consider upgrading your plan.
