Workflows

Three ways to use Signado

Not every team runs outbound the same way. Pick the workflow that matches how you sell.

Scan & Send

For when you want to send outreach now. You have a list, you want signals on it, you want to fire today.

The initial scan pulls existing signals going back up to 12 months. About 90% of contacts surface at least one signal. You pick the strongest ones, write your outreach, and send.

When you're done, pause monitoring so you don't burn credits. Contacts stay stored for free. Next month, grab a new list.

What you do

1

Import your list and start monitoring. The initial scan runs in the background (a couple of hours for 500 contacts).

2

Open the Signals page. Signals appear as a timeline. You see each event, the company, and when it happened.

3

Click Draft Outreach. Signado picks the highest-scoring signal for each contact. Choose your custom variables or use Signado's defaults.

4

Review each message in the campaign wizard. Edit anything you want. Hit Send to push to your outreach tool.

5

Pause monitoring. Contacts stay stored (free). Re-monitor later or import a fresh list next month.

What you do

1

Import your list and start weekly monitoring. You get all existing signals from the initial scan plus new signals each weekly cycle.

2

Let it run for 2-3 weeks. Each cycle catches signals that happen after import. A VP hire on day 5 gets caught on the second cycle.

3

Open the Signals page. Switch between per-company view and All Activities view. Filter by signal strength or recency to find the signals you want to use.

4

Select a signal. This sends you to the outreach wizard with the contact pre-loaded. Write your message, choose variables, review, and send.

5

Pause monitoring. Spend the rest of the month reviewing reply rates. If funding signals got 4% but hiring got 12%, focus the next sprint on hiring.

Sprint

For when you want to catch signals that happen after you import. Run outbound in 2-3 week cycles, then iterate.

Scan & Send only catches signals that already exist. A sprint adds 2-3 weeks of weekly monitoring so you catch new events too.

After you send, pause and review what worked. If your first sprint shows that hiring signals get better replies than funding signals, your second sprint targets that. Each cycle sharpens the next one.

Continuous

For when you want to act on signals the moment they happen. A CRO hire on Monday becomes a message on Tuesday.

Daily monitoring catches signals within 24 hours but costs 7x more per contact than weekly. Most teams put their top 10-20% of accounts on daily and the rest on weekly.

If credits run out mid-month, monitoring pauses. Nothing deletes. It resumes on the next billing cycle, or you top up.

What you do

1

Import your list and start monitoring. Put high-priority accounts on daily, the rest on weekly.

2

Signals surface on each cycle. Use the All Activities view to filter by strength or recency across your entire list.

3

When a strong signal fires, select it. The signal automatically grabs the associated contact and sends you to the outreach wizard.

4

Write your message, choose variables, review. Send within 24-48 hours while the signal is fresh.

5

Repeat every week. New signals, new outreach, new replies. For large lists, onboard in batches across months.

Not sure which to pick?

Start with Scan & Send. It shows results fastest and requires no ongoing commitment. Run your first campaign, measure reply rates, and decide whether Sprint or Continuous fits your team on the next billing cycle.

Workflow FAQ

What is a Scan and Send workflow?

You import a contact list, Signado scans every contact for existing buying signals going back up to 12 months, and you fire personalized outreach based on what it finds. No ongoing monitoring. One campaign per import. Next month, import a new list.

How long should a sprint last?

Two to three weeks works for most teams. That gives you enough monitoring cycles to catch new signals while leaving time at the end of the month to review reply rates and iterate your messaging. Some teams run one sprint per month, others run two shorter sprints.

Can I switch between workflows?

Yes. Your plan gives you a credit pool. How you spend those credits is up to you. Run a Scan & Send campaign this month and a Sprint next month. Or use Continuous for your top accounts and Scan & Send for new lists. Credits work the same regardless of workflow.

Which workflow is cheapest?

Scan & Send on a Starter plan ($99/mo). Scanning and messaging ~100 contacts uses about 4,700 of your 5,000 monthly credits. For larger lists (500-1,000), Growth ($349/mo) or Scale ($749/mo) give you the credits to scan in a single pass.
