Smart Split: Set Up Monitoring

Smart Split scores your contacts and proposes how to divide them across daily, weekly, and stored monitoring. It balances signal coverage against your available credits so you don't have to do the math yourself.

How scoring works

Each contact gets a score based on the data you've provided:

  • Job title — Decision-makers and C-level titles score higher
  • LinkedIn URL — Contacts with a LinkedIn profile score higher (more signal sources)
  • Company website — Having a website means more data to monitor
  • Email address — Indicates a more complete contact record

Higher-scoring contacts are assigned to daily monitoring first, then weekly, then stored.

How to use it

  1. Open any list and click Start Monitoring.
  2. The wizard loads your contacts and runs the scoring.
  3. Review the proposed split — you'll see how many contacts go to daily, weekly, and stored.
  4. The total credit cost is shown before you confirm, including initial enrichment for new contacts and the estimated monthly monitoring burn.
  5. Adjust the split if needed (see below).
  6. Click Confirm to start monitoring.

Adjusting the split

If the default proposal doesn't fit, switch to Adjust mode. From there you can:

  • Drag the daily/weekly sliders to change how many contacts go in each bucket
  • The credit cost recalculates in real time as you adjust
  • Move individual contacts between states if you want fine-grained control

Add vs Replace mode

If you already have contacts being monitored from a previous setup, the wizard asks whether to Add or Replace:

  • Add — New contacts join your existing monitored contacts. Nothing currently monitored changes.
  • Replace — Current monitored contacts move to stored, and the new set takes over.

Contacts that were previously monitored and enriched won't be charged the initial enrichment cost again, even if you're re-activating them after a period in stored.
