How Exclusions Work

Exclusions stop Discovery from spending full lead credits on people you already know, existing customers, competitors, or companies you never want to sell to.

You manage them from Settings then Exclusions.

What you can exclude

You can add two kinds of exclusions:

  • LinkedIn profile URL for a specific person.
  • Company for everyone Signado can verify at that company.

Profile exclusions are exact URL matches. Company exclusions are confirmed against a LinkedIn company page when possible, so you can see the name, logo, and LinkedIn URL before activating the exclusion.

What happens during Discovery

MatchWhat Signado doesCost
Known person by LinkedIn URLSkips the person before creating a lead0 credits
Known company on a repeat encounterSkips the person before the repeat engagement charge0 credits
First encounter at a blocked companyVerifies the company during enrichment, hides the lead, and keeps only the reduced exclusion cost1 credit

The first encounter at a blocked company costs 1 credit instead of 3 because Signado has to enrich the person once to confirm the company. This is a reduced rate, not an additional charge.

After that person has been verified and stored as excluded, future sightings are blocked for free before another discovery charge.

Add a person exclusion

  1. Go to Settings then Exclusions.
  2. Paste the person's LinkedIn profile URL in the LinkedIn profile box.
  3. Click Add.

Signado normalizes the URL and adds the person immediately.

Add a company exclusion

  1. Go to Settings then Exclusions.
  2. Type the company name or paste its LinkedIn company URL in the Company box.
  3. Click Resolve.
  4. Review the company card.
  5. Click Confirm when the match is correct.

If Signado cannot find a LinkedIn company page from the name, it may offer an exact-name fallback with a warning. Exact-name fallback means Signado only blocks contacts whose enriched company name matches that name exactly.

Manage your list

Your exclusion count appears at the top of the page, like 3 / 100 exclusions. Companies and people share the same limit.

Use the trash button next to an exclusion to remove it. Removing an exclusion does not delete leads you already have, but future Discovery runs stop using that exclusion.
