Activate Warm Lead Discovery

Discovery finds people who commented on LinkedIn conversations about the topics, creators, and competitors your buyers care about. You activate it by turning on a source. Let's do that.

Add a source

A source is what Signado scans. It can be a keyword your buyers discuss on LinkedIn, a creator they follow, or a competitor profile with useful comments.

  1. Go to Settings then Discovery (the Discovery Sources page).
  2. Type a topic like outbound sales, or paste a LinkedIn profile URL for a creator or competitor.
  3. Click Add. The source starts paused.

Preview before you commit

Before turning a source on, preview it to see the kind of leads it will surface.

  1. Click Preview on the source.
  2. Review the sample of people who commented on matching conversations.
  3. A preview costs 1 credit.

If the preview looks off, edit the source and preview again.

A good source is specific enough to surface the right people but active enough to find regular comments. If a keyword preview returns very few people, try a slightly broader topic. If a creator or competitor has little engagement, pick a more active profile.

Toggle it on

When the preview looks right, toggle the source on. From there:

  • The source is scanned about every 24 hours.
  • The first search starts within minutes after activating. Judge the first useful lead set over 24-48 hours.
  • New warm leads land on your Warm Leads page, scored 0-100 against your ideal customer.

Control your spend

A daily budget slider sets how many credits discovery can spend per day. A new warm lead costs 3 credits. Adjust the slider to match how aggressively you want to find leads. See Daily Budget and Credits for details.

Next step

Now let's look at what your first warm leads contain and what to do with them.
