8 Best ZoomInfo Alternatives for 2026 (and What They Cost)

8 Best ZoomInfo Alternatives for 2026 (and What They Cost)

TLDR: The best ZoomInfo alternatives by need: Apollo for a cheap all-in-one, Cognism for European phone data, Signado when your list is fine but nobody replies, Clay for custom enrichment, UpLead for monthly verified contacts, Lusha for quick lookups, Sales Navigator for finding people, RocketReach for occasional lookups.

The best ZoomInfo alternative depends on which part of ZoomInfo you actually used. Many small teams use a slice of it, mostly emails and some phone numbers, and pay for the whole platform.

That gap costs real money. Vendr puts the median ZoomInfo contract at $33,500 a year, based on 1,574 purchases. Three seats of Apollo Basic cost $1,764.

So start with the part that failed. Bounced emails need more accurate contact data. Missed calls need verified mobiles. And if the list was fine and nobody replied, you need a reason to reach out. A bigger contact database won't give you one.

Annual prices are paid up front. Monthly plans cost more but let you cancel. Seven of these tools are a data provider of some kind. Signado is the exception: it finds people already talking about your market, then works with any contact list you bring.

One large database splitting into four lighter paths: phone data, verified contacts, enrichment workflows, and conversations

What is ZoomInfo?

ZoomInfo is a sales intelligence platform: a B2B database of people and companies, with sales and marketing tools on top. It's built for sales teams at mid-size and large companies, usually with an admin to run it. You search for people and companies, then export their contact details to your CRM. Each export uses one credit, per ZoomInfo's pricing page.

Professional covers contact profiles, mobiles, emails, lists, CRM integrations, and a Chrome extension. Copilot Advanced adds hierarchy data, buyer intent, website visitors, and workflows. Note which ones you actually use, because that's what you're replacing. For the wider category, see our sales intelligence tools guide.

ZoomInfo pros and cons

The pros are real:

  • Deep US contact information and company data, with mobiles and email addresses in the base plan.
  • Org charts, intent data, and website visitors in one place on higher plans.
  • Mature Salesforce and HubSpot integrations.

The cons land hardest on small teams:

  • No public prices, and a median contract of $33,500 a year.
  • Annual billing, with a minimum number of seats.
  • Credits that run out, with overages priced above your contract rate.
  • It's a static database: it shows who fits your market, not who's talking about your problem this week.

How much does ZoomInfo cost?

ZoomInfo doesn't publish prices, so every figure here comes from buyers. Vendr reports a median of $33,500 a year. ZoomInfo's own pricing guide says paid plans are billed annually with a minimum number of seats, and Vendr says renewals often rise 5% to 10% a year.

  • Vendr: deals range from $7,220 to $155,730 across 1,574 purchases, and buyers saved 22% on average off the first quote.
  • SpendHound reports an average of $49,097 a year for companies with 50 to 1,000 employees, from 160 customers.
  • On r/sales, a three-person team wrote that "Zoominfo wants $20k / year."

Credits are the other cost. Vendr says buyers who don't negotiate credit terms up front often pay $10,000 to $50,000 or more in overages. Auto-renewal clauses are common, and notice periods typically run 30 to 90 days.

If you stay, negotiate near the end of ZoomInfo's fiscal quarters (March, June, September, December), when Vendr says discounts improve.

What a team of three pays in year one

ToolYear-one cost for 3 usersHow we got it
ZoomInfoAbout $20,000 (buyer-reported)One three-person team's quote on r/sales
Apollo Basic$1,7643 seats x $49 x 12 months, billed annually
CognismQuote only (buyer-reported median $36,000)Vendr median, 108 purchases, via Salesmotion (February 2026)
UpLead Essentials$2,6643 single-user accounts x $74 x 12 months, billed annually
Signado Starter$708$59 x 12 months for one workspace, no per-user fees

These tools don't replace the same thing. Apollo and UpLead replace the contact data, and Signado replaces the guessing about who to contact. Apollo Basic plus Signado Starter comes to $2,472 a year, about an eighth of that $20,000 quote. Treat each row as an estimate.

Why do people look for a ZoomInfo alternative?

Most teams leave because of cost and lock-in. A five-figure annual contract, credits that run out, and an auto-renewal with a price increase add up fast. Others leave because the data goes stale, or because a bigger list still didn't get replies. Each reason points to a different tool, so name yours first.

Price comes first. On r/salesforce, a buyer who moved to Apollo said "the cost was outrageous." Unused seats cost as much as busy ones.

Data quality slips over time. HubSpot's database decay page, citing MarketingSherpa research, puts B2B data decay at 2.1% a month, or 22.5% a year. The study is old, but people still change jobs, and every bounce hurts your email deliverability.

The platform needs an owner. In a five-person agency, whoever sets up intent topics and CRM sync is also selling.

A list doesn't say who to contact first. ZoomInfo shows who fits your market, not who posted about your problem this morning. If your emails land and still get silence, more contacts won't help.

How we compared these tools

When evaluating alternatives, we read each vendor's pricing page and terms in October 2026. For each tool, we noted what part of ZoomInfo it replaces, what it says about data accuracy, the entry cost for a small team, the contract terms, and the main limit. ZoomInfo and Cognism don't publish prices, so we used labelled buyer-reported figures. Signado is our product, ranked third because it fixes a different problem than the data tools.

The 8 best ZoomInfo alternatives in 2026

These are the top ZoomInfo alternatives for small teams. Each one comes with a quick test you can run on your own contact list before you pay for a year.

1. Apollo.io: best budget all-in-one replacement

If you want a tool like ZoomInfo at a small-team price, Apollo is the closest match. Contacts, an email sequence builder, a dialer, intent topics, and CRM sync live in one sales engagement platform. If you mostly used ZoomInfo for outbound email in North America, start here.

Export 50 prospects from companies where you already know who works there. Check employers and emails, send a small batch, and watch the bounce rate.

With list, sequence, and dialer in one place, there are fewer integrations to break. Check one thing first: annual plans can't be downgraded mid-cycle, so start monthly if you're unsure.

Apollo's pricing page lists a free plan, Basic at $49 per seat a month billed annually ($65 monthly, 30,000 credits per seat a year), Professional at $79 ($99 monthly), and Organization at $119 with a three-seat minimum. Basic and Professional have a 14-day trial.

Pick it for one cheap tool for contacts and sequences. If you live on European mobiles, test Cognism instead. More options are in our Apollo.io alternatives guide.

2. Cognism: best for phone-verified data in Europe

Cognism is the pick when calls are your main channel, especially into the UK and Europe. Its Pro plan adds on-demand mobile verification and intent data to Standard's contact data.

Ask for a sample of 30 European decision-makers you want to reach. Call the mobiles over two days and count real connects.

On the phone, the connect rate sets your cost per conversation, and a verified mobile gets you the person.

Both plans include five seats, and one credit reveals one contact. Cognism's pricing page is quote-only. Vendr's median was $36,000 a year across 108 purchases, as cited by Salesmotion in February 2026. Vendr's own page was offline in October 2026.

Choose Cognism if calls into Europe drive your revenue. A two-person team that mostly emails will pay for seats it doesn't use.

3. Signado: best when your list is fine but nobody replies

If you already have contacts and cold emails still get silence, a bigger database won't fix it. Signado finds people who are already posting and commenting about your market on LinkedIn, so every message answers something they actually said.

We tested this on our own outreach. In our LinkedIn comments field test, classic targeting got 25 replies from 139 messages, an 18.0% reply rate. Starting from recent posts and comments got 78 replies from 149 messages, or 52.3%. That's 2.9x the reply rate, and 25 of those 78 replies became product demos.

Signado is a lead generation tool for agencies, consultants and B2B teams that sell go-to-market, digital marketing or AI services. It watches the conversations in your market on LinkedIn and tells you who to contact and what to say.

You add keywords your buyers use, creators they follow, competitors they watch, or one post that drew the right crowd. Signado finds the people posting and commenting there, uses AI to check each person and company against the business you want to reach, keeps their words attached, and gives each lead a clear next move. There's no LinkedIn login. Bring contacts from Apollo or a CSV, and the email finder fills in missing emails.

That changes the first message. A warm lead has given you a real reason to reach out, so your opener answers their comment instead of guessing from a job title.

To test it, add one keyword or competitor and review a week of leads. Send 20 messages and compare replies with your current prospect list.

Pricing is per workspace, not per seat, so a team of three pays what one person pays. Signado's plans are Lite at $29 a month (1,000 credits), Starter at $59 (2,500), Growth at $99 (5,000), and Scale at $349 (20,000), with a 7-day trial (card required). Each new lead costs 5 credits.

Pair it with Apollo when you also need direct dials. Choose Signado when your list is fine and replies are the problem. The Apollo vs Signado comparison shows how the two work side by side.

4. Clay: best for building your own enrichment

Clay fits a team with someone who likes to build automation. It checks multiple data sources in order, called a waterfall, then adds AI research and your own rules. If you mainly used ZoomInfo to run enrichment workflows on CRM records, Clay gives you more control.

Build one table with 20 records you know well, and note which provider filled each field and what the run cost.

When one provider misses, the next one tries, so fill rates can beat a single data source. The catch is upkeep: actions and data credits are metered separately, and someone has to maintain the tables.

Clay's pricing page lists a free plan. Launch costs $185 a month, or $167 billed annually, with 15,000 actions and 2,500 data credits a month. Growth starts at $495 a month ($446 billed annually) and adds CRM sync. Seats are unlimited, with a 14-day trial.

Go with Clay if you have a builder. If you want leads without building anything, see our Clay alternatives.

5. UpLead: best for verified contacts on a monthly plan

UpLead is the simplest swap for ZoomInfo's B2B contact data if you want to pay month to month. One credit unlocks one contact, with email and mobile direct dial, and UpLead says its email verification is 95% accurate.

Spend the 7-day trial's 5 credits on people whose emails you know, then send to 100 contacts.

A verified email keeps your bounce rate down. Watch the allowance: Essentials gives 170 credits a month on a single-user account, and extra credits cost $0.60 each.

UpLead's pricing page lists Essentials at $99 a month or $74 billed annually, Plus at $199 a month or $149 annually, and a custom Professional plan billed annually.

Choose UpLead for verified contacts without a long contract. Teams of several people need Professional, the only plan with team seats.

6. Lusha: best for quick lookups while you prospect

Lusha is for the moment you're on a LinkedIn profile and need a number now. Its Chrome extension shows email addresses and phone numbers on the page.

Reveal 20 profiles you've already qualified, count the usable phone numbers, and divide the credits spent by that count.

You only pay for people you've chosen, right where you research them. Do the math first: an email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, so Starter's 400 monthly credits cover 80 phone numbers at most.

Lusha's pricing page lists a free plan, Starter at $49.90 a month or $37.45 billed yearly, Pro at $69.90 with 2 seats, and Premium at $399.90 with 5 seats.

Use Lusha for quick lookups during research. For bulk lists, the credits run out fast.

7. LinkedIn Sales Navigator: best for finding the right people

Sales Navigator is the best tool here for finding the right people inside an account, with more than 50 search filters and AI insights on accounts and leads.

Rebuild a list of companies like your last five clients and check whether the filters find the people who bought.

Good search means fewer messages to the wrong person. There are no emails or phone numbers, so pair it with an email finder.

LinkedIn's plans page lists Core at $119.99 a month or $1,079.88 a year, Advanced at $159.99 a month or $1,799.88 a year, and Advanced Plus on quote.

Choose it if your main use case for ZoomInfo was seeing who works where. Our Sales Navigator alternatives guide covers the trade-offs.

8. RocketReach: best for occasional lookups on a small budget

RocketReach fits a founder who needs a few dozen contacts a month. Run 25 lookups on people you know and count the correct ones.

A lookup only counts when RocketReach finds and verifies an email or phone, so failed searches cost nothing. Essentials allows 1,200 exports a year, email only.

RocketReach's pricing page lists Essentials at $19 a month ($229 billed annually), Pro with phone numbers at $52 a month ($619 annually), and Ultimate at $115 a month ($1,379 annually).

Choose RocketReach for occasional lookups on a small budget. If several people need shared lists, team plans start at $6,000 a year.

When should you keep ZoomInfo?

Keep ZoomInfo if several people use most of it every week. That usually means a larger team doing enterprise sales in the US, with org charts, intent, and CRM enrichment in daily use. It also fits account-based marketing, where marketing and sales share one account list.

A quick rule: list the ZoomInfo features your team used in the last 30 days. If org charts, intent, and CRM enrichment are all there, negotiate. If it's emails and a few phone numbers, you're paying for a platform you don't use.

How do you leave ZoomInfo without losing data?

Find your renewal date and notice deadline, then send written non-renewal before it passes. Check which version of the contract terms you signed, because it decides what you can keep. Export what you're allowed to keep, and run your replacement next to ZoomInfo while you still have access.

  1. Find the dates in your order form. Under ZoomInfo's January 2023 terms, the contract extended itself 60 days before it ended, at the old fee plus 10%, unless either side gave written notice.
  2. Send notice in writing and keep a copy.
  3. Check what you can keep. The current license terms, dated May 1, 2025, say you "may continue to use Licensed Materials obtained during the Term." The January 2023 version said to destroy all copies. Your order form tells you which applies.
  4. Run the replacement in parallel on the same 50 accounts, and compare valid emails, connects, and replies.
  5. Move your integrations. ZoomInfo's CRM enrichment stops when the term ends, so point the new tool at the same CRM fields first.

Which ZoomInfo alternative should you choose?

The right alternative depends on the problem you're fixing, not on database size. Price alone points to Apollo, UpLead, or RocketReach. Weak phone data in Europe points to Cognism. A good list with no replies points to Signado. If your team uses most of ZoomInfo every week, keep it and negotiate the renewal.

FAQ

Is there anything better than ZoomInfo?

It depends on what you measure. For US account depth with org charts and intent in one place, few tools match it, and its pricing page shows 4.5 out of 5 from 9,384 G2 reviews. For a small team, better means less spent per useful contact or per reply.

Is ZoomInfo still relevant?

Yes. ZoomInfo says more than 35,000 companies use it, and it keeps shipping AI products, such as its Copilot sales agent and a connector for AI assistants. What changed is the buyer: small teams now have cheaper data tools and newer ways to find people ready to talk.

Who are ZoomInfo's main competitors?

Vendr names Apollo, Cognism, 6sense, and Lusha as the rivals buyers bring into ZoomInfo negotiations. For contact data, buyers on Reddit also compare Seamless.AI, Lead411, SalesIntel, and LeadIQ. For account-based marketing, 6sense and Demandbase compete with ZoomInfo's marketing plans.

What is the cheapest alternative to ZoomInfo?

Our estimates from list prices: RocketReach Essentials is about $0.19 per export ($229 a year for 1,200). Lusha Starter, billed yearly, is about $0.09 per email and $0.47 per phone number. UpLead Essentials, billed annually, is about $0.44 per contact. Cheapest per contact isn't cheapest per reply.

Is there a free ZoomInfo alternative?

Yes, for light use. ZoomInfo Lite is free with 10 credits a month, or 25 with Community Edition, which shares your email contacts with ZoomInfo. Apollo's free plan includes 900 credits per seat per year, Lusha's 40 credits a month, and Clay's 100 data credits a month. RocketReach's free tier gives 5 lookups.

What is the lawsuit against ZoomInfo?

The best-known case is Ramos v. ZoomInfo Technologies, a class action first filed in federal court in Illinois in April 2021. It claimed ZoomInfo used people's names on free preview pages to advertise subscriptions without consent. ZoomInfo denied wrongdoing and settled for about $29.6 million. The court granted final approval in November 2024.

Is Signado a ZoomInfo replacement?

Signado replaces the part of ZoomInfo that should tell you who to contact first and what to say. For accounts worth more research, its Deep Dive checks seven company events, such as funding, hiring, and leadership changes, for 40 credits. Pair it with Apollo for direct dials, and let Signado decide who gets the message.

These tools all assume you know who to contact

Signado fills that gap: it finds the people already talking about what you do on LinkedIn, with what they said attached. Use it alone or feed the rest of your stack.
