Search Google Maps
Google Maps search lets you find businesses by location and type, then import them as contacts. This is useful for geo-targeted prospecting—like finding all marketing agencies in a specific city.
When to use this
- Local prospecting — Target businesses in specific cities or regions
- Industry targeting — Find businesses by category (restaurants, agencies, clinics)
- Territory building — Build lists for sales territories
- Service area expansion — Discover potential customers in new markets
Start a search
- Go to Lists in the sidebar.
- Click Add List → Search Google Maps.
- Enter your search query (e.g., "marketing agencies").
- Enter a location (e.g., "Austin, TX" or "London, UK").
- Enter a list name.
- Click Start Search.
The search runs in the background. You'll see progress on the Lists page.
What you get
For each business, Signado extracts:
- Business name
- Address and phone number
- Website URL
- Business category
- Rating and review count (when available)
Google Maps search uses your monthly scrape quota. Check Settings → Billing for your current usage and limits.
After the search
Once complete, review the imported businesses and activate monitoring to start detecting signals at those companies.
