How to Get the Best Signals


The quality of your signals depends on the data you provide. Here's how to get the most out of Signado.

Add LinkedIn profile URLs

LinkedIn is currently a goldmine. When you include a contact's LinkedIn profile URL, Signado can pick up:

  • Executive posts and engagement
  • Job changes and promotions
  • Company announcements shared by the contact
  • Professional activity patterns
  • Website, company info, and other profile data

Without a LinkedIn URL, you'll only receive company-level signals (funding, news, hiring). With it, you unlock personal LinkedIn signals that indicate individual buying intent.

How to add LinkedIn URLs

When uploading a CSV or adding contacts manually, include a column or field for linkedin_url. The format should be:

https://linkedin.com/in/username

LinkedIn profiles often contain company website, job title, and other enrichment data that Signado uses to improve signal accuracy.

Fallback options

If you don't have LinkedIn URLs, Signado can still work with:

  1. Company website. Tracks company-level news and announcements.
  2. Company name. Matches against news sources and funding databases.

These work, but provide fewer and less personalized signals. For best results, prioritize getting LinkedIn profile URLs for your key contacts.

Start with your highest-priority accounts. Add their LinkedIn URLs first, then expand to the rest of your list over time.
